About the project

Sport can change communities.

SANE is building a European network of trained Sport Ambassadors who inspire active lifestyles, inclusion and stronger local communities.

What is SANE?

A European network of people using sport to create positive change.

SANE — Sport Ambassadors Network for Europe — is an Erasmus+ Sport project that creates and professionalises a European network of Sport Ambassadors. It promotes sport for all as a practical tool for inclusion, health, wellbeing, active citizenship and stronger communities.

Why was the project created?

Because access to sport and its benefits is still unequal.

Many people with disabilities, young people at risk and underserved communities continue to face social, economic or physical barriers to participation. SANE was created to equip trusted role models with the knowledge, tools and European connections needed to reach these groups and turn sport into local action.

Main objectives

From individual leadership to collective European impact.

Recruit and connect Sport Ambassadors

Select committed people from partner countries and bring them together in a diverse, sustainable European network.

Increase participation and inclusion

Use sport to encourage healthier lifestyles, reduce barriers and create opportunities for people who are less represented or have limited access to physical activity.
